DIRECTOIRE

Inspired by the period between the Republic and the First Consul (1795-1799), decorative motifs include hand carved lozenges and brass capped feet. Mourning bands are reproduced as references of the symbol of the cabinet makers' grief over the loss of King Louis XVI, and can be finished in a contrasting tone if desired. Each piece is finely constructed in solid American cherry wood.
